Montreal – January 10, 2020 - Nakisa has announced the release of Nakisa Lease Administration 5.1 today which brings numerous enhancements to the reporting module and new features, including CPI indexation and new user management capabilities.

As a global leader in enterprise business solutions, Nakisa helps various organizations, including the Fortune 500 level, streamline their lease accounting processes and comply with the latest lease accounting standards. This release of Nakisa Lease Administration further solidifies its position as a leader in the industry.

“Our objective for this release was to provide customers with value that goes beyond compliance,” said Sebastiaan Bos, Director of Product Management at Nakisa. “Working with the lessons learned from our customers, first Year-End audits, and how they see sustainable value in the solution, we are excited about the value Nakisa Lease Administration can bring.”

Nakisa Lease Administration Enhancements

In order to support long-term accounting sustainability, Nakisa Lease Administration 5.1 introduces new reports and features to the reporting module. These include:

  1. Non-Lease Charges Expense Report, which outlines all charges added to contracts within a selected time frame, providing users with the ability to easily identify the actual cost of their lease contracts, minus their lease payments.
  2. Periodic Posting Status Report, which provides all entries scheduled in a given time frame and their respective posting status. Users can now ensure that all entries have been successfully posted and easily reconcile any variance.
  3. Report Scheduler, which enables users to schedule the generation of any of the out-of-the-box reports in advance. Users can save time by generating reports for repeatable tasks such as month-end closing.

The release also includes enhancements to CPI indexation. Users may now select multiple contracts with various payment dates and apply a CPI event, as well as specify the CPI indexation type and index value, in a single batch. With these developments, users can achieve more flexibility and a streamlined workflow for their lease accounting processes.

New features have been added to the existing disclosure reports, including a new record count that helps users to efficiently prepare for required disclosures according to each accounting standard. Non-calendar fiscal years such as April to March are also now supported, so users can generate out-of-the-box disclosure reports for date ranges overlapping 2 calendar years.
