Nakisa named a Representative Vendor in Gartner’s Market Guide for Workforce Planning Technologies

We're pleased to share that Gartner has recognized Nakisa as a Representative Vendor in its 2026 Market Guide for Workforce Planning (WFP) Technologies, published 29 July 2026. 

Nakisa is one of thirteen vendors profiled in the guide. Gartner selected these vendors based on client inquiry volume, number of in-production customers, the ability to offer the solution stand-alone, and support for at least two of the three WFP use cases the guide defines: operational workforce planning, strategic workforce planning, and organization modeling.

The workforce planning transformation through the years

The Market Guide frames workforce planning as a growing priority under real pressure. Heading into 2026, CHROs ranked strategic workforce planning among their top three priorities, but only 32% said they were confident they could deliver on those goals in the year ahead, the lowest confidence score of any priority Gartner surveyed. The guide attributes this gap to three forces:  

• Continued disagreement across organizations about what WFP actually means and how to run it 
• Job evaluation processes that haven't kept pace with a skills-based and task-based way of working  
• Heavy reliance on spreadsheets and homegrown tools that can't scale with evolving requirements. 

Gartner also points to generative and agentic AI as the dominant theme in vendor roadmaps for the year, alongside a broader shift from viewing WFP as a headcount-and-budget exercise toward using it to drive broader business value through centralized data, integrated systems, and better cross-functional collaboration.
